Our Y Posts – Star Pickets are available in two types: with teeth or without teeth. We offer Y steel posts with black bitumen coated and galvanized finish , suitable for setting up field fencing systems. These posts, also known as star pickets, star posts, metal pickets, or steel pickets, have a three-pointed star-shaped cross section.
Pre-drilled holes along the length allow for easy attachment of wires to the picket for fixing to metal fence. Y posts are widely used in installing temporary fences and field fencing products like cattle fences, sheep netting fences, and security fences.
They are made of low carbon steel, featuring a plain head and tapered end. The common colors are silver and black.
